Final Verdict
PIA is the most feature-rich budget VPN for torrenting. Port forwarding, SOCKS5 proxy, open-source code, and unlimited devices at $2.19 per month is hard to beat on paper. The US jurisdiction is a legitimate concern, but PIA has proven in two court cases that it holds no user data. The main downside is speed: it posted the lowest numbers in our tests, with 24% overhead versus NordVPN's 8%.
